What is Occupational Health and why use Occupational Health Services?

Occupational Health is the medical speciality that assesses the impact of health conditions on work and the impact of work hazards on health.

Our Occupational Health Services provide accurate assessments to help management to understand the impact health conditions can have on an individual worker's functional levels. It can help clarify areas of potential concern within the business to help reduce the impact of ill health and absence on the operational needs of your business. Areas of concern that clients typically want help with are:

Sickness absence

Intermittent or prolonged absence can have a negative impact on your business. Understanding the factors that are impacting on good attendance can help support the workforce and reduce the operational impact.

Performance Concerns

Medical conditions may negatively affect performance; particularly if roles are not well suited to workers' capabilities. We can provide accurate assessment and advise on adjustments to consider or alternative roles, where required.

Hazards at Work

We can advise on how hazards might affect workers' health and steps that can reduce this potential impact. Health surveillance can help monitor workers' health and detect potential concerns at an earlier stage.
